Although an M&M’s is just a colorful button-shaped candy made by Mars, Incorporated with the the letter “m” printed in lower case on one side, surrounded by a variety of fillings which may include milk chocolate, dark chocolate, crisped rice, mint chocolate, peanuts, almonds, orange chocolate, coconut, or peanut butter, it’s just a hunk of candy.

M&M’s were first made in1941, and are now sold in over 100 countries. They come in different colors, but brown has been discontinued so not surprising a brown M&M is the most expensive M&M in the world but it’s not it’s color that makes it so special.

This particular M&M was aboard Paul Allen’s SpaceShipOne on June 21, 2004 as it completed the first privately funded human spaceflight and now it has come back to Earth and was purchased buy a collector for an out of this world $1,500.00 USD.
