Serendipity 3Friday July 23, 2010 was national National Hot Dog Day and at Serendipity 3, a New York City landmark restaurant, one could have bought the Serendipity Foot-Long Haute Dog, which at $69.00 USD was the world’s most expensive hot dog.

The beef is grilled in delicate white truffle oil placed in a salted pretzel bread bun toasted with white truffle butter, then topped with medallions of duck foie gras with black truffles, caramelized Vidalia onions, heirloom tomato ketchup and, of course, mustard (Dijon, with black truffles) and “It definitely will be the most delicious hot dog ever, And the most opulent.” according to Serendipity 3 publicist Joe Calderone.

World’s most expensive foods are no stranger to Serendipity 3, they also sell the world’s most expensive sundae: the $1,000 Serendipity Golden Opulence Sundae.

Hermes scarves

There are millions of different scarves on the market, and about just as many uses for them. Whether you’re wearing a scarf to keep you warm on a cold day, are tying a thin one around your face to keep dust and dirt out when you’re in hot, sandy places, or are just wearing one as a fashion statement, there are many different scarves that you could choose from. So, among all the scarves in the world, just which kind ranks as the most expensive?

Many people would not be surprised to find out that the most expensive scarves in the world are Hermes scarves. The company who makes these stunning scarves was started in 1837 by Thierry Hermes. It wouldn’t be until 100 years later when the Hermes company started offering scarves. If they had known how much money could be made from them, perhaps they would have begun producing scarves sooner.

Hermes scarves have been considered to be authentic, traditional heirlooms for generations now. This is because the scarves are designed by spinning Chinese silk into a tough fabric that can handle a great deal of wear and tear. But that’s practical talk. What really makes Hermes scarves beautiful pieces of art that can be worn, are the screen-printed designs that are handcrafted onto the material. And these aren’t just any designs. Sometimes, they take many, many years to design.

But if you think all of this craftsmanship has to cost you thousands of dollars, you’d be wrong. The scarves at the lowest price range of Hermes scarves cost about $260 while one that is larger, both in volume and price, and is dipped in dye, costs about $720, making them definitely ranking as the world’s most expensive scarves.

Chloe Lambskin Leather Pants

When the warmer months hit, it might also be time to go out and add a few new pieces to your summer wardrobe. But if you want the most expensive women’s shorts, you’ll need to dig into your brand new pockets, and you’re going to have to dig deep. These shorts cost over two grand, and for that you might think that they’re encrusted with diamonds. That makes sense but because wearing diamond-encrusted shorts can become uncomfortable (and let’s face it, just isn’t practical), you’ll need to settle for the next best thing – the softest lambskin leather you’ll be able to find anywhere.

The entire exterior of the shorts is made from soft lambskin leather, and they are even pleated at the waist, with the pleat traveling down the length of the short to the cuffed lambskin hem. They feature belt loops, a zipped front, and a hook closure. And, for women who might still think that wearing leather shorts doesn’t exactly scream comfort, there’s a nude cotton liner inside to keep one in ultimate comfort, while keeping with ultimate style.

The shorts are called Chloe Lambskin Leather Pants and they retail for a whopping $2,015. And, if you do happen to have pockets deep enough for that kind of summer wear, the only other real question is, what will you wear with them?

World's Most Expensive ParkingDriving may be fun but parking can be a nightmare and a costly one at that. In fact, in some cities your monthly parking bill will cost you more than your payments on a really nice car.

If you find yourself having to park midtown and downtown Manhattan you can at least boast that you are paying the most expensive parking in the United States with midtown running you $538 a month and downtown rates a few dollars cheaper at $529 month.

Just in case  third place is OK with you then Boston would be your town at $425 a m0nth.

On the other hand, if paying the most expensive parking in the U.S. is not enough for you and you’d prefer the most expensive parking in the world then export your car across the pond and you can rent monthly stowage for a very wallet guzzling $933 USD per month.
