The world’s most expensive fry is actuality is only a prop that was created from polyurethane by DDB for television and Internet advertisements. This “Lincoln Fry” used by MacDonald’s during an ad during the Super Bowl is now the most expensive fry known in the world.

GoldenPalace.com already used an unusual food product for advertising once before with the Virgin Mary Grilled Cheese Sandwich which they purchased at auction on eBay for $28,000 and now are the proud owners of the most expensive fry in the world at a cost of a greasy $75,000. Both the fry and the grilled cheese sandwich toured the country, of course for advertising purposes.

Almas caviarIf you love caviar and don’t mind the fact that you’re dishing out lots on money for fish eggs then we’d like to introduce you to Almas caviar, the world’s most expensive caviar and it will set you back a fishy $25,000.00 per kilogram or $11,000.00 per pound or $700.00 per ounce.

Almas (Russian for diamond) caviar comes from the rare Beluga Sturgeon from the Caspian Sea, but not only is the fish rare, to make it into a tin of Almas caviar the roe has to come from one that is at least a 100 years old, in fact the older the fish gets the whiter the caviar gets.

If you do find yourself in possession of a tin of Almas caviar and don’t find the taste worth the price, there is one other upside, the tin the caviar came in is 24K gold.

Serendipity 3Friday July 23, 2010 was national National Hot Dog Day and at Serendipity 3, a New York City landmark restaurant, one could have bought the Serendipity Foot-Long Haute Dog, which at $69.00 USD was the world’s most expensive hot dog.

The beef is grilled in delicate white truffle oil placed in a salted pretzel bread bun toasted with white truffle butter, then topped with medallions of duck foie gras with black truffles, caramelized Vidalia onions, heirloom tomato ketchup and, of course, mustard (Dijon, with black truffles) and “It definitely will be the most delicious hot dog ever, And the most opulent.” according to Serendipity 3 publicist Joe Calderone.
