Since this is our first post in many to come we might as well start off with the world’s most expensive thing. Technically it’s not the world’s most expensive thing as right now it resides in space and is none other than the Space Station.

Cost; an out of this world $157 billion.

#3: Three Gorges Dam in China: $25 billion.

#4: The James Bay Project in Canada: $13.8 billion.

#5: CVN-78 class aircraft carrier: $8.1 billion each.

#6: Alaska Pipeline: $8 billion.

#7: Olkiluoto Nuclear Power Plant 3 in Finland: $7.1 billion.

#8: International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor: $6.5 billion.

#9 New Bay Bridge in San Francisco & Oakland: $6.3 billion.

#10: Large Hadron Collider: $6.3 billion.
